Kuching & Bako National Park
Fly overnight from London to Kuching, via Kuala Lumpur.
Upon arrival on day 2, you will be transferred to The Ranee Boutique Suites where you will stay for 3 nights with breakfast included in this stylish conversion of a 19th-century shophouse in the Old Town. Explore the riverside markets or relax with a sunset cocktail this evening.
On day 3 you will visit the Semenggoh Orangutan Rehabilitation Centre to see these majestic creatures in the wild, then meet local families at a traditional bamboo longhouse.
Embark on a private tour of Bako National Park on day 4 by boat and foot, spotting proboscis monkeys, long-tailed macaques, flying squirrels, and monitor lizards.
Goodbye Kuching, hello Gaya Island
This morning, fly to Kota Kinabalu and continue by boat to Gaya Island Resort, set within a lush marine reserve. You’ll stay 3 nights with breakfast included.in a hillside villa looking out across bay, where jungle meets sea in a beautiful setting.
Spend your next two days snorkelling coral gardens, joining guided jungle walks, or unwinding in the award-winning spa. The beach in front of the resort offers gentle swimming and sea views, while the resort also provides a free boat shuttle to Tavajun Bay, a serene and sandy beach — perfect for a quiet day under the palms with a book or a cooling dip. Optional extras include paddleboarding, kayaking, or diving trips to nearby reefs.

Into the rainforest
Today you will fly to Sandakan where on arrival you will be transferred to MY Nature Resort to stay for 1 night on a half-board basis. This jungle-edge retreat comes with traditional chalets and forest views. You could explore the canopy towers of the Rainforest Discovery Centre this afternoon, then join an optional night walk to discover nocturnal wildlife.
On the morning of day 9, you will visit the Sepilok Orangutan and Sun Bear Centres before cruising to Abai Jungle Lodge deep within Sabah’s interior for 1 night on a full-board basis. Afternoon and evening safaris reveal pygmy elephants, proboscis monkeys, and more.
On day 10, you will continue upriver to end your Borneo adventure with 2 nights on a full-board basis at the Kinabatangan Riverside Lodge, a relaxed base for wildlife exploration. Expert naturalists will enhance every encounter as you set out on dawn and dusk river cruises, along with guided walks on jungle trails this afternoon and throughout day 11.
Transfer to Sandakan on day 12 for your flight back to London, arriving the next day.
