This was the big trip we’d been talking about for years, and it more than lived up to expectations. The balance was spot on – James helped us pace it so we had time in Cusco to acclimatise before the Inca Trail, and then a few gentler days around Lake Titicaca before flying to the Galápagos. Having the right hotels in the right places made such a difference, and the local guides really brought everything to life.

What an adventure!
