The optimal time to explore the Peruvian Amazon is during the dry season, which runs from April through October. During these months, lower rainfall means easier access to trails and waterways, and animals tend to be more visible as they gather around shrinking water sources. This makes wildlife encounters particularly rewarding. Alternatively, the wet season—from November to March—brings intense rains that transform the forest into a vibrant, lush haven. Though some areas may be harder to reach, the wet season offers unique opportunities to witness the jungle’s renewal and spectacular displays of flora and fauna in full bloom.
