Tour itinerary
Kuching & Bako National Park
Fly overnight from the UK to Kuching.
Upon arrival on day 2, you will be met and transferred to spend 2 nights with breakfast included at The Ranee Boutique Hotel, a stylish Old Town retreat with individually styled suites. This afternoon you will explore the charming streets of the Old Quarter with a guided walking tour, cross the Rejang River by sampan, and sample local snacks in the Malay Kampung.
On Day 3, venture into Bako National Park with your guide, trekking diverse trails and observing proboscis monkeys hunting crabs along the shoreline.

After breakfast this morning, you will be transferred to Kuching airport, where you will connect with your flight to Mulu. You will then be transferred to Mulu National Park HQ to spend 2 nights on a half-board basis nestled amidst rainforest. In the afternoon, explore caves and witness the famous bat exodus at dusk.
On Day 5, explore limestone caves along the Melinau River, then traverse the canopy walk for panoramic views of the rainforest before dinner.
Kota Kinabalu & Kinabalu Park
This morning you will be taken back to the airport where you will proceed to catch your flight to Kota Kinabalu. On arrival you will be met and transferred for your 1 night stay with breakfast included at Grandis Hotel & Resorts, conveniently located to explore the city and vibrant night markets. You could head out this evening and sample a range of South East Asian food from a variety of stalls.
On Day 7, enjoy a full-day excursion to Mount Kinabalu, hike forested trails, visit the Botanical Gardens, before you are transferred to Sutera Sanctuary Lodge for a 1 night stay with breakfast included.
Sandakan & Kinabatangan River
This morning you will visit Poring Hot Springs and the Kipungit waterfalls. Afterwards, you will then be driven to Sandakan, with a lunch stop en route, to explore Labuk Bay’s Proboscis Monkey Sanctuary, then check into Sepilok Nature Lodge for 1 night on a full-board basis.
On day 9, you will visit the Sun Bear Conservation Centre and Sepilok Orangutan Rehabilitation Centre before cruising to Kinabatangan Wetlands Resort to spend 2 nights on a full-board basis, with afternoon and evening wildlife cruises.
Wake up on day 10 with a morning river cruise before you have some free time to perhaps enjoy a guided jungle walk, keeping your eyes peeled for orangutans, pygmy elephants, and hornbills.
Danum Valley rainforest before you return home
You will rise early this morning and travel to Borneo Rainforest Lodge. Perched on the edge of 438 sq km of pristine lowland forest, you will stay here for 2 nights on a full-board basis.
Afternoon and night spotlighting tours introduce nocturnal wildlife, while day 12 includes a trek to a 200-year-old Kadazandusun burial site along the View Point Trail, a dip at waterfalls, and optional canopy walk activities or river tubing.
Enjoy breakfast on day 13 before you are transferred to Lahad Datu airport to connect with your onward flights to London, via Kota Kinabalu.
