Embark on your honeymoon – Congratulations!
Fly overnight from the UK via Kuala Lumpur to Kota Kinabalu.
Upon arrival on day 2, you will be met and transferred to Shangri-La Rasa Ria for 2 nights with breakfast included. Set between 64 acres of lush rainforest and the South China Sea, settle in this afternoon.
Day 3 will be yours to spend at leisure and relax into your surroundings. Enjoy a gentle start, or there is also the option to enjoy the beach, take a mangrove river cruise, or explore the in-house orangutan sanctuary. Guided activities include jungle walks, canopy treks, nocturnal wildlife spotting, and birdwatching.
Leave behind the bustling city for the jungle!
This morning you will be transferred to the airport where you will catch your flight over to Sandakan. On arrival you will be met and transferred to MY Nature Resort where you will stay for 1 night on a half-board basis. Explore the Rainforest Discovery Centre or visit Labuk Bay to see proboscis monkeys at feeding time this afternoon.
Start day 5 with a tour the Sepilok Orangutan Rehabilitation Centre and Sun Bear Conservation Centre before boarding a river cruise to Kinabatangan Riverside Lodge where you will stay for the next 2 nights on a full-board basis.
Spend the rest of the day and the whole of day 6 with morning and afternoon river safaris, guided jungle walks, and nocturnal wildlife tours bring the rainforest to life.
From wild jungle to the pristine beaches of Gaya Island
Your final river cruise this morning will take you back to Sandakan, where you will catch your flight to Kota Kinabalu. On arrival you will be transferred to the jetty where you will then take a speedboat to Gaya Island Resort where your holiday will end with 5 nights and breakfast included.
You now have four days to relax on Gaya Island. Enjoy a complimentary guided nature walk, with snorkelling on protected reefs and a mangrove kayak adventure available at an additional cost. Spend your time exploring coral reefs, spotting wildlife in the mangroves, kayaking, or simply relaxing on the beach. With warm waters, tropical scenery, and an immersive rainforest setting, Gaya Island is the perfect luxurious end to your honeymoon.
After a final morning on the beach on day 12, take the speedboat back to Jesselton Jetty for your flight to London.
