Sepilok jungle introduction
Fly from London via Kuala Lumpur to Sandakan on day 1.
Upon arrival on day 2, you will be met and transferred to Sepilok Nature Lodge. You will stay for 2 nights on a full-board basis, at this tranquil hideaway nestled among tropical gardens and towering trees.
On Day 3, explore Labuk Bay’s Proboscis Monkey Sanctuary, timing your visit to watch feeding time, then head to the Rainforest Discovery Centre to stroll canopy walkways with panoramic views of the treetops. In the evening, join a night walk to spot nocturnal wildlife.

River safaris and the Danum Valley rainforest
Today you will visit the Sepilok Orangutan and Sun Bear Centres before cruising to Sukau Rainforest Lodge to stay for 2 nights on a full-board basis. This award winning lodge on the banks of the Kinabatangan River combines luxury with conservation excellence. Afternoon and evening river safaris reveal proboscis monkeys, pygmy elephants, hornbills, and more.
Start day 5 with a dawn cruise as mist rises over the river, then explore the Hornbill Boardwalk with the lodge naturalist, followed by an afternoon safari.
Travel overland on day 6 to Borneo Rainforest Lodge. Perched on the edge of 438 sq km of pristine lowland forest, you will stay here for 2 nights on a full-board basis. Afternoon walks and canopy treks introduce the rainforest’s rich biodiversity, while an open-top buggy tour brings nocturnal creatures to life.
On day 7, hike the View Point Trail to a 200-year-old Kadazandusun burial site, pause at waterfalls for a refreshing dip, then explore canopy walk tracks or optional activities like birdwatching or river tubing. Guides bring the forest and its wildlife vividly to life.
Gaya Island beach retreat
After a guided walk this morning, you will be transferred to Lahad Datu where you will connect with your onward flight to Kota Kinabalu. On arrival you will be met and transferred to the jetty for your boat across to Gaya Island Resort where you will spend your final 5 nights with breakfast included. Set within a marine park with golden beaches and lush rainforest, enjoy guided rainforest walks (included), snorkelling over vibrant coral reefs, and kayaking through mangroves.
You will then have 4 full days allow for swimming, sunbathing, water sports, or spa indulgence.
On day 13, savour a final swim or stroll along the beach before your boat and car transfer to Kota Kinabalu airport for your overnight flight to London.
