The 14 tented rooms are designed in a contemporary safari style, built on raised platforms and positioned with generous space between them for privacy. Natural textures and simple design details keep the focus on the surrounding landscape rather than drawing attention indoors. Each tent includes a private veranda looking out across the plains, creating an easy place to pause and watch the changing light at the end of the day. Family tents with separate sleeping spaces are also available, making the camp a practical option for those travelling together while still maintaining the same open connection to the Serengeti setting.

Food

Dining at Togoro Plains follows the natural rhythm of safari days, with meals served in the restaurant tent and outdoor dining options available at certain times during the stay. The atmosphere is relaxed rather than formal. Fresh and seasonal ingredients feature throughout the menu, while bush breakfasts, picnic lunches or dining beneath open skies can add variety to the routine of the day. Between activities, the lounge and bar areas create quiet spaces to stop for a drink and absorb the stillness of the landscape.

Activities

Game drives are the centre of the stay, exploring an area of the Serengeti known for year-round wildlife and wide open landscapes. Depending on the season, this can include everything from large predator sightings and resident plains game to the movement of the migration through nearby areas. We had an amazing time. Everything was brilliant (even the baboon leaving a gift on the bed in the Serengeti!). I think Nick’s highlight was the lion cubs. I loved all the safari, but seeing the turtles hatch in Pangani was truly awesome. All the accommodation was exactly what we had hoped for. I hadn’t realised we would have a tent on our first night as well.
