This afternoon, a local guide will take you on a private tour of the capital to discover monuments such as the Temple of Literature, the One Pillar Pagoda, and the sixth-century Tran Quoc Buddhist Pagoda at West Lake. Your afternoon and evening are free for you to enjoy as you wish.

Depart early this morning for a picture-perfect drive to Mai Chau. Travelling over mountains, fertile valleys, and traditional villages, you will arrive at the Mai Chau Ecolodge for a 2-night stay with breakfast included. This property, made entirely from natural materials, blends harmoniously with its untouched surroundings, a firm favourite with Sundowner. Enjoy a light walk in the area surrounding the lodge and spend your evening taking in the stunning beauty.

Today, head to the village of Pu Long and the Cham River for a full-day tour. Search for stunning water wheels, learn about local water systems, and even try rafting down the Cham River if you’re brave enough! After all that excitement, enjoy an authentic local meal at a nearby resort.

On day 6, you will travel towards the stunning region of Ninh Binh, also known as ‘Halong on land’. You will spend 2 nights with breakfast included at Tam Coc Gardens, a beautiful property providing warm, welcoming service and stunning views of limestone formations and rice fields. Grab a bike and explore the local area.

Visit the Van Long Nature Reserve on day 7, the largest wetland in Northern Vietnam. Take a private boat trip along the river, spotting magnificent birds, fish, and amphibians, including some endangered species. Continue to Cuc Phuong National Park, where you may spot langur monkeys. Visit the conservation centre protecting primates and turtles before enjoying your included lunch and spending the afternoon strolling through the magnificent rainforest.

This morning, you will be transferred to the port, where you will stay for 2 nights with all meals included aboard a traditional Vietnamese junk, the Orchid Trendy. Sail through the stunning Lan Ha Bay as you enjoy lunch, and head to Cat Ba Island to visit Trung Trang Cave. Next, visit the less populated Tra Bau where you will have the chance to enjoy a refreshing swim. You could join in with a cooking demonstration before dinner is served, then grab a drink and watch the magnificent sunset over the bay.

Start day 9 with Tai Chi on deck before breakfast. Continue exploring this beautiful area as you cruise through islets, visit Viet Hai Village on a bicycle, enjoy a cooking class, and swim some more!

On day 10, you could hop in a kayak to explore the Ao Ech areas before lunch. As you cruise back to the port, enjoy a traditional tea ceremony. After disembarkation, you will be transferred to Hanoi Airport for a short flight to Nha Trang. You will spend your final four nights at the Anam Cam Ranh Villas, a beautiful luxury resort on Cam Ranh’s northern peninsula, featuring a stretch of private beach, three pools, and a relaxing atmosphere.
