This morning you will join a private half day tour to see Hanoi as it wakes. Walk around Hoan Kiem Lake, stop for tea at a local shop, and wander hidden alleys in the Old Quarter. Visit the tiny home of a traditional musician to learn about the single string dan bau and hear stories passed down through generations. Return to your hotel late morning and enjoy the rest of the day at leisure.

This morning you will travel to the peaceful village of Ky Son, with a visit to Thay Pagoda en route. Settle into Moon Garden for 2 nights, then join a cooking class with the hosts before enjoying a home cooked lunch. Later, take a gentle walk through the village to meet local residents and learn about daily life.

The following day you will visit Duong Lam Ancient Village, known for its preserved wooden houses and quiet rural lanes. Enjoy lunch in a local home before returning to Ky Son for a relaxed afternoon.

This morning you will leave Ky Son and travel around three hours to the UNESCO listed waters of Ha Long and Lan Ha Bay. Board your overnight Peony Cruise and enjoy lunch as you begin sailing past the towering limestone karsts and emerald coves that make this area so iconic. Spend the afternoon joining the scheduled activities or relaxing on deck before enjoying sunset, dinner and an overnight stay surrounded by the bay’s dramatic scenery.

Watch the sunrise overlooking the bay as the boat begins cruising back to land or join the morning Tai Chi session. On arrival at the port you will be transferred back to Hanoi International for a short flight south to Da Nang.

Once you have arrived you will be transferred to Hoi An to Legacy Hoi An where you will stay for 3 nights. Enjoy the rest of the afternoon and evening at leisure. Why not hopping in the pool or going for a bike ride exploring the area.

This morning you will take a half day tour to My Son, the UNESCO listed Cham temple complex set in a peaceful jungle valley. Wander among the ancient towers and learn about the history of the Cham civilisation before returning to Hoi An around lunchtime. The afternoon is free to relax or explore the Old Town at your own pace.

The following day, rise early for a sunrise boat cruise on the Thu Bon River. Watch the fishing boats return to shore, help haul in the nets and enjoy a simple fisherman’s breakfast with Vietnamese coffee. You will be back at your hotel by mid morning, with the rest of the day free to relax, explore Hoi An or enjoy the beach.

Today you will take the scenic route over the Hai Van Pass, also known as the Pass of Ocean Clouds, and through the fishing village of Lang Co.

You will then travel on Hue to spend 2 nights at Ancient Hue Garden Houses. Spend the rest of the day taking a gentle walk along the river, enjoying a spa treatment or unwinding in the tropical gardens.

Today, you will head out on an insightful tour through Hue. Start at the UNESCO listed Imperial Citadel, roaming the extensive grounds and hear stories about the majestic buildings inside. You will then continue by cyclo to Tinh Tam Lake where emperors used to relax, and is still a popular place for the residents of Hue to wind down. Afterwards, continue to Khai Dinh’s tomb for a stroll before you return to the hotel.

On day 12 you will be transferred to the airport where you will catch your short flight to Ho Chi Minh City. On arrival, you will be met and transferred approx. 2 hrs to spend 2 nights with breakfast included at The Island Lodge which offers a peaceful retreat where guests can connect with nature, whilst being surrounded by the elegance of French-inspired architecture.

After breakfast, take a gentle boat journey into the heart of the Mekong Delta, cruising through canals and wide waterways while observing daily river life and coconut trading along the banks, coconut in hand. Cross the Mekong to an off-grid island where just a handful of families live simply without roads or electricity, welcoming you into their homes to share tropical fruits, local snacks, stories of island life, and a relaxing herbal foot bath. Enjoy a home-cooked Mekong lunch prepared by a local family before returning by boat to the mainland and back to the lodge, with the rhythms of the river lingering long after the day ends. You will head back to the lodge for the rest of your day at leisure.

Enjoy a leisurely morning before you are met and transferred approx. 2 hrs to Ho Chi Minh City. On arrival you will be transferred the short drive to Mai House Saigon Hotel where you will stay for 2 nights with breakfast included. Settle in to your hotel and have the day at leisure, before you head out this evening for a vespa tour. Cruise the city streets to sample local seafood and the much-loved bánh xèo. The night finishes with live music at a buzzing venue before returning to your hotel.

On day 15, you will be met for a guided morning walking tour of Ho Chi Minh’s historic heart, taking in colonial landmarks, creative local spaces, the Central Post Office and Reunification Palace, before finishing at the lively Ben Thanh Market.

After breakfast on day 16, you will be met and transferred back to Ho Chi Minh city airport, where you will proceed to check in for your flights home.
