Two full days of exciting Big 5 safari. Head out on exciting 4×4 game drives accompanied by experienced guides and trackers, as you venture into the diverse landscapes of Madikwe in search of the Big Five, whilst also keeping an eye out for cheetah, giraffe, zebra, spotted hyena and the reserve’s renowned population of endangered African wild dogs.

Returning to the lodge as darkness falls, gather for a delicious dinner and reflect on the day’s sightings whilst listening to the sounds of the African bush and watching for wildlife visiting the waterhole.

Rise early for one final game drive through the malaria-free reserve, making the most of your last opportunity to experience the magic of the African bush. As the wildlife becomes active in the cool morning air, your ranger will continue the search for memorable sightings, from lion and elephant to the smaller creatures that make every safari unique.

You will then be transferred back to Johannesburg for an overnight stay at African Rock Hotel, a stylish, owner-run boutique retreat tucked away in peaceful gardens close to the airport. Relax beside the pool, enjoy a drink and reflecting on the incredible wildlife encounters of the past few days!

This morning, transfer to the airport for your short flight to Mauritius, where the warm waters of the Indian Ocean and palm-fringed beaches provide the perfect setting to unwind after your time in Africa. On arrival, you will be transferred to LUX Belle Mare, where you will spend 6 nights in a stylish Junior Suite.
