Days 1 & 2 :

Fly overnight to South Africa – Welcome to The Kruger

Fly overnight from the UK to the Kruger (via Johannesburg).

On arrival you will collect your SUV hire car and drive 30mins to Unembeza Boutique Lodge to spend your first 2 nights.

Nestled within the bushveld just outside Hoedspruit, Unembeza Boutique Lodge’s relaxed atmosphere and beautiful natural surroundings make it the perfect place to unwind after your international flight while enjoying your first encounters with South Africa’s incredible wildlife.

Day 3:

Busk walks, mountain bikes & the stunning Blyde River Canyon

Full day to enjoy Unembeza with a variety of optional activities including mountain biking, guided nature drives, visit to a nearby wildlife rehabilitation centre, scenic boat cruises on the Blyde River and excursions along the spectacular Panorama Route.

One of South Africa’s most scenic areas, The Panorama Region is renowned for its dramatic mountain landscapes, deep canyons, waterfalls and breath-taking viewpoints. Located along the edge of the Great Escarpment in Mpumalanga, the region offers a striking contrast to the nearby safari reserves and is the perfect addition to any Kruger itinerary.

Day 4 to 6:

Heading deep in the Timbavati region of the Kruger, it’s time for some serious Big 5 Wildlife Encounters!

Continue deeper into the Greater Kruger area for a 3 night stay at Motswari Private Game Reserve, located within the renowned Timbavati Private Nature Reserve.

Sharing unfenced borders with the Kruger National Park, Timbavati is famed for its exceptional wildlife viewing and vast open plains. Twice-daily game drives with expert rangers and trackers provide outstanding opportunities to spot the Big Five alongside cheetah, hyena, giraffe and countless bird species.

Day 7 to 9:

Time to head south to the world renowned Sabi Sands region of the Kruger - Leopard time!

Your safari adventure continues with a further 3 nights at Notten’s Bush Camp in the exclusive Sabi Sands Game Reserve.

Internationally regarded as one of Africa’s finest safari destinations, Sabi Sands is especially renowned for its remarkable leopard sightings and exceptional close-up wildlife encounters.

Enjoy early morning and evening game drives, as well as optional bush walks that offer a fascinating insight into the smaller details of the African wilderness.

Day 10 & 11:

Time to slow down the pace but ramp up the scenery

For the final part of your journey, drive south to Nkomazi Tented Lodge for a relaxing 2 night stay. Set within a private reserve surrounded by dramatic mountains and sweeping grasslands, Nkomazi offers a more tranquil and scenic safari experience, providing the perfect finale to your holiday.

Guests can enjoy guided game drives, birdwatching, nature walks and stargazing experiences in the peaceful wilderness.

You could add-in an extra night to fit in some extra safari time, a spot of fishing or simply some relaxation time by your private plunge pool!

Return home after an incredible safari

Following a morning game drive & brunch you will drive back approx. 4hrs to Johannesburg Airport for your overnight flight home, taking with you unforgettable memories of South Africa’s spectacular wildlife, landscapes and safari hospitality.
