Fly overnight from the UK to Cape Town.

On arrival, collect your hire car and drive into the city beneath the dramatic backdrop of Table Mountain, where you will spend 3 nights at Derwent House, a stylish boutique guesthouse known for its warm hospitality, contemporary design and excellent location.

You will have two full days to explore one of the world’s most beautiful cities. Leaving the Mother City behind, drive approximately one hour into the rolling valleys of the Cape Winelands to the charming village of Franschhoek, where you will spend 3 nights at Auberge Clermont. Set on a working wine in the heart of the valley, enjoy a peaceful and authentic Winelands experience surrounded by vineyards and mountain scenery.

Enjoy two free days to discover the region’s award-winning wineries, exceptional restaurants and relaxed atmosphere. Spend your days wine tasting on the famous Franschhoek Wine Tram, enjoying long vineyard lunches or exploring the surrounding countryside on foot, horseback or bicycle. We can also help arrange gourmet picnics, guided wine tours and scenic hikes through the valley.

Today you will return to Cape Town Airport, drop off your hire car and fly to Hoedspruit, gateway to the Greater Kruger region. On arrival, you will be met and transferred into the renowned Timbavati Private Nature Reserve.

Your final 3 nights will be spent at Umlani Bushcamp, an authentic safari camp offering a traditional back-to-nature safari experience in one of South Africa’s most wildlife-rich private reserves. Enjoy your first afternoon game drive in search of elephants, lions, buffalo, giraffe and perhaps even the elusive leopard.

Spend two full days exploring the pristine wilderness of the Timbavati with experienced rangers and trackers. Morning and evening game drives provide exceptional opportunities to encounter the Big Five as well as cheetah, hyena, zebra and an abundance of birdlife. For a more immersive safari experience, guided bush walks offer the chance to discover the smaller details of the African bush on foot.

Evenings are spent around the campfire beneath the stars, listening to the sounds of the African wilderness.
