combination of some of the best wildlife viewing and guiding in Africa, this 10 night Zambia safari offers an incredible variety of activities, allowing you to search out predators by vehicle and foot in the South Luangwa National Park and take to the water for an exhilarating canoe safari with the elephant herds of the Lower Zambezi.
Day 1: London to Lusaka
Fly overnight from the UK to Lusaka (via Addis Abba).
Day 2: Lusaka to South Luangwa
On arrival you will be met and assisted onto your flight to Mfuwe, the gateway to the South Luangwa National Park, where you will be met and transferred into the park to start your safari with 2 nights at Mfuwe Lodge. A super property that receives a huge amount of repeat guests including a herd of elephants which has featured in many documentaries as it makes its annual journey through the reception of the lodge!
Day 3: South Luangwa
Full day of game viewing in the densely populated central Mfuwe region. This really is one of the safari highlights of Africa and you will able to enjoy expertly led safaris on 4×4 game drives through the park, sundowners in the bush and night drives back to camp.
Day 4: South Luangwa
Moving south through the park this morning (game viewing en route) you will head to one of the best bush camps in the park, Kapamba Bush Camp, to spend a further 2 nights in this predator rich region of the park.
Operated by Andy Hogg and his Bushcamp Company, one of the finest safari companies in Africa, we love this camp for its prime location on the Kapamba River, great guiding and romantic atmosphere with only 4 chalets with private plunge pools. Talk to us about why we have designed this idea around two separate locations in South Luangwa & then let’s start designing your Zambia holiday.
Day 5: South Luangwa
A final full day of game viewing in the South Luangwa. Another amazing game viewing region, the main activities at Kakuli are expertly guided 4×4 game drives and walking safaris. The night drives can be a real highlight as this region is home to a lot of predators that are getting ready for the hunt!
Day 6: South Luangwa to the Lower Zambezi
Enjoying a final activity and breakfast you will be transferred back to Mfuwe airport for your flight to the Lower Zambezi National Park where you will spend your final 4 nights on safari at Kasaka River Lodge. A lovely tented camp on the banks of the Zambezi, it offers a very relaxed atmosphere and great guiding on a variety of safari activities. “Stay 4 pay 3” Special
Days 7 to 9: Lower Zambezi
Two full days to enjoy one of our favourite parks in Africa! With lots of cats, big elephant herds and hippos you can enjoy game drives, walking safaris, boat safaris, canoe safaris and even a spot of a fishing. With the beautiful escarpment to the north and Zambezi River to the south this is a perfect spot for one of those African “Sundowner Moments”. “Going away feeds my soul, I love finding places that make me want to stop for a moment and breathe it all in. It’s about creating memories that stand out in my mind, an escape from routine.”
“I love to travel so I can turn my imagination into reality, instead of thinking about how places might be, I want to see them as they truly are.”
