Day 1: London to Lusaka
Fly overnight from the UK to Lusaka
Day 2: Lusaka to the Lower Zambezi National Park
Connect to a short flight to the Lower Zambezi National Park. On arrival, you will be transferred to the Royal Zambezi Lodge to spend 4 nights, on the bank of the Zambezi River with its own unspoiled river frontage and scenic mountain backdrop, the Royal Lodge offers incredible views along with the chance to see fantastic wildlife. Head out this afternoon for a magical Sundowner overlooking the Zambezi River!
Days 3 to 5: Lower Zambezi National Park
Three full days to enjoy one of our favourite parks in Africa! With lots of cats, big elephant herds and hippos you can enjoy game drives, walking safaris, boat safaris, boat fishing & canoe safaris whist you enjoy the stunning views of the Lower Zambezi.
Day 6: Lower Zambezi National Park to South Luangwa
Today you will be taken to the Royal Airstrip to catch a flight to Mfuwe. On arrival you will be transferred into the South Luangwa National Park to spend 2 nights at Mfuwe Lodge, giraffe, hippos, buffalo, antelope, and crocodile are constant visitors to the lagoon. In November the local elephants regularly wander right through the lobby, lured by a nearby wild mango tree.
Day 7: South Luangwa National Park
A full day of game viewing in the densely populated central Mfuwe region. This really is one of the safari highlights of Africa and you will able to enjoy expertly led safaris on 4×4 game drives through the park, sundowners in the bush and night drives back to camp.
Day 8: South Luangwa National Park
Today you will head (viewing game on route) to Kapamba Bushcamp where you will continue your safari for 2 nights, a remote and romantic camp situated in a prime location on the Kapamba River, watching an elephant take a dip in the river can be quite an experience when you’re lounging in your own private plunge pool!
Day 9: South Luangwa National Park
A full day of game viewing around the Kapamba River. Get out into the bush and explore the rich diversity of the surrounding area on a morning walking safari, and then later in the day, jump into a Land Rover for an afternoon/evening game drive.
Day 10: South Luangwa to Livingstone
This morning you will be taken back to Mfuwe airport to catch a flight to Livingstone. You will be transferred to the banks of the Upper Zambezi River to spend 2 nights at Tongabezi Lodge, privately owned and run, Tongabezi offers a romantic hideaway on the banks of the Zambzi river, combined with the warmth and hospitality of the people of Zambia.
Day 11: Livingstone
A full day on the Zambezi. Why not try canoeing excursions, sunrise/sunset cruises, guided bush walks or even head to the area of Victoria Falls to see the ‘Smoke that Thunders’ and try out gorge swings, helicopter flights and more.Want some more ideas of what to do? Day 12: Livingstone to London
Following a relaxing morning you will be taken back to Livingstone airport to catch your flight back to the UK.
Day 13: Home
