DETAILED ITINERARY

Day 1: London to Lusaka
Fly overnight from the UK to Lusaka (via Addis Abba).

Day 2: Lusaka to South Luangwa
On arrival you will be met and assisted onto your flight to Mfuwe, the gateway to the South Luangwa National Park. On arrival you will be met and transferred to one of our favourite camps in Zambia, Flatdogs Camp, to spend your first 3 nights on safari in the family chalet.

Owner managed by Jess & Ade, the family friendly camp is very relaxing, the staff extremely friendly and it offers incredible game viewing in the central Mfuwe region of the park. Days 3 & 4: South Luangwa
Two full days of safari in the one of the best game viewing regions in Southern Africa. At Flatdogs the activities include game drives in open 4×4 vehicles, walking safaris and night drives. When back in camp you have a lovely swimming pool for cooling off, lots of space to play and working closely with the local community you can arrange an informal visit to the local village.

Day 5: South Luangwa to Victoria Falls
Following a morning drive and breakfast you will be transferred back to Mfuwe airport for your flight across the country to Livingstone, the Zambian side of the mighty Victoria Falls, where you will spend 3 nights in the Chundu Cottage at the Chundukwa River Lodge.

With a great location on the Upper Zambezi this rustic river retreat offers amazing value and Chundu Cottage is perfect for families with its own private plunge pool and private chef!

Days 6 & 7: Victoria Falls
Two full days to enjoy Vic Falls. We can arrange a variety of great activities such as elephant back safaris, walking with lions and helicopter flights plus your stay at Chundukwa includes a sunset cruise and a day trip to the falls. The owner Doug is an also avid horseman with 30 years guiding experience and he offers some fantastic horse riding trails and riding for all levels.

Day 8: Victoria Falls to the Lower Zambezi
After a final morning on the Zambezi you will be transferred to Livingstone Airport for your flight travelling east along the Zambezi River to the Lower Zambezi National Park where you will spend your final 4 nights on safari at Kasaka River Lodge in two classic tents.

A lovely tented camp on the banks of the Zambezi, it has a family friendly “tame” side of camp with lovely gardens and a swimming pool and the excellent guides will bring the park to life with a great variety of activities. “Stay 4 pay 3” Special

Days 9 to 11: Lower Zambezi National Park
Three full days to enjoy the fantastic variety of activities in the Lower Zambezi. Packed with adventure the activities include game drives, walking safaris, night drives, canoe safaris, boat safaris and fishing for those mighty tiger fish. Unless staying in the Hippo Pod this camp is geared at children 7 years and above.

Day 12: Lower Zambezi to London
Following a morning activity and breakfast you will fly north by light aircraft to Lusaka Airport and connect with your flight back to the UK (via Addis Abba).
