DETAILED ITINERARY

Day 1: London to Lusaka
Fly overnight from the UK to Lusaka (via Dubai).

Day 2: Lusaka
On arrival into Lusaka Airport this afternoon you will be met and transferred to Wild Dogs Lodge to spend 1 night. A lovely rustic retreat on the outskirts of Lusaka, this is a great first stop to rest before for real excitement begins!

Day 3: Lusaka to Lower Zambezi
On arrival you will be transferred to the Royal Zambezi Lodge where you will be spending 4 nights. Situated on the banks of the mighty Zambezi River and directly opposite Zimbabwe’s famous Mana Pools World Heritage Site, this Lodge is a great way to combine luxury and African wilderness. “Stay 3 pay 2” Special.

Days 4 & 5: Lower Zambezi
Two full days to enjoy one of our favourite wildlife in Africa! With lots of cats, big elephant herds and hippos you can enjoy game drives, walking safaris, boat safaris, canoe safaris and even a spot of a fishing. With the beautiful escarpment to the north and Zambezi River to the south this is a perfect spot for one of those African “Sundowner Moments”.

Day 6: Lower Zambezi to Johannesburg
Following a morning activity and breakfast you will fly  by light aircraft to Lusaka Airport and connect with your flight back to Johannesburg. On arrival you will be met and transferred to the African Rock Hotel to spend 1 night, a conveniently located small boutique hotel with great suites and great food.

Day 7:  Johannesburg to Mauritius
This morning you will be transferred back to Johannesburg Airport for your flight to Mauritius. On arrival you will be met and transferred to the Prince Maurice, where you will stay for 5 nights. Surrounded by beautiful blue water, you won’t ever tire of the view here at Prince Maurice. Days 8 to 11: Mauritius
Four full days at leisure to enjoy Mauritius! This is a great spot to kick back and relax but if you are feeling active, you can try a great selection of activities – glass bottom boats, snorkelling, sailing, mini-sail boats, kayaks, paddle boats, windsurfing, stand-up paddle, tennis, beach volleyball & table tennis.

Day 12: Mauritius to London

Flatdogs: Game sightings were very good, too, although we had just one brief lion sighting in 3 full days (4 nights). We got very good compensation in the form of several leopard sightings (6 leopards on the best night drive!), as well as other animals. The safari tents in Flatdogs were very good, too, and the Treehouse was gorgeous. Food was also very good and the staff very friendly. Guides were very knowledgeable and experienced.
