This morning you will drive south into the Kalahari Desert, where you will spend 2 nights at Bagatelle Kalahari Farmhouse. Have the afternoon to start exploring this incredible desert and looking for the wildlife that inhabits it. Alternatively, head to the lodge’s viewing deck situated by the waterhole – perfect for a relaxed afternoon of game spotting.

A free day to discover the Kalahari Desert. You can explore on a self-drive safari or choose to add a sunrise, morning, or afternoon game drive with a knowledgeable guide. You could also visit the local San people in their village and learn how they survive in this harsh environment. For something special, opt for a night safari under the blanket of stars, searching for nocturnal wildlife. If you wish to extend your stay, just ask us!

Today you will drive further south to the mighty Fish River Canyon. En route, you can stop at Kokerboom Woud, the largest ‘forest’ of desert quiver trees, before continuing to Gondwana Canyon Lodge, where you will spend the next 2 nights in a private stone bungalow blending among the huge rock formations.

A free day to enjoy this area. Consider an early morning sunrise walk or guided half-day hikes around the canyon for stunning views of the gorge and river below. Alternatively, embark on a canyon drive ending at the base of the canyon for refreshments while learning about its fascinating geology. Wind down in the lodge’s beautiful pool, looking out across the stunning vista.

This morning, head to Aus, where you will stay for 2 nights at Klein Aus Vista Desert Horse Inn. If you’re feeling energetic, explore one of the mountain biking or hiking trails to discover this dramatic and wild landscape. Otherwise, enjoy the scenery from your private veranda or the lodge’s pool with a sundowner in hand! If you want to slow the pace, we can extend your stays or adjust the itinerary as needed.

Spend a day at leisure exploring the southern coastal town of Lüderitz, with its German-style art deco architecture. Visit the peninsula to see colonies of pink flamingos or the ghost town of Kolmanskop, where buildings are half-covered in sand from the diamond mining era. On your way back to the lodge, stop to see the wild horses of Aus.

Today, you will drive into the Namib Desert to Desert Quiver Camp, where you will stay for 2 nights. Head out in search of wildlife or enjoy an afternoon relaxing at the lodge while watching for wildlife across the private reserve. This evening, opt for a sundowner drive to witness a magnificent desert sunset!

Enjoy a full day at leisure in the desert. You can add game drives with a knowledgeable guide who will help you search for wildlife. Alternatively, visit Sossusvlei and explore the dunes and guided walks to Deadvlei to see the 400-year-old scorched petrified trees. This evening, enjoy dinner on your own private patio, surrounded by the desert, under a spectacular starry sky.

Enjoy a final morning in the Namib Desert before heading north to the Gamsberg Nature Reserve. Spend 2 nights at Corona Guest Farm, a calming oasis surrounded by mountains. This afternoon, relax by the pool and take in the stunning surroundings.

Enjoy a day taking in the breathtaking views across the plateau. Explore the farmlands for a chance to spot free-roaming zebra, kudu, oryx, and steenbok along with smaller game.
