Great trip! Highlight was the seal kayaking followed by the 4×4 dune driving from Walvis Bay to Sandwich Harbour. Awesome recommendation!

Tom Richards, Namibia

We had a brilliant time in Namibia. We saw loads of animals including a leopard in Damaraland which I think was quite unusual, and an aardvark at okonjima, something I’ve never seen before on quite a few safaris! We also saw some of the cheetah chasing a day old giraffe which was exciting! We loved kayaking with seals in Walvis Bay as well, the seals were hilarious. Thank you for your help, all of the tours were arranged perfectly and the hire car was great.

Karen O’Donoghue, Namibia

Very many thanks for arranging a fabulous holiday in Namibia. The evening meal overlooking the Namib desert under the stars, millions of them, was a highlight of our trip. In Damaraland, the views and sunsets were beautiful. We even managed to see a family of desert elephants on one of the excursions. Ongava in Etosha again met all our expectations and the game drives allowed us to see all the animals including the elusive Black Rhinos. Overall, we had a superb time.

Sam Jenson, Namibia

We had a great time. The Etosha waterholes provided many hours of entertainment at both camps. All in all, one of the best holidays and most exciting.

Tour itinerary

Days 1 - 4:

Giraffes, grasslands & desert light

Fly overnight from the UK to Windhoek (via Addis Ababa).

On your arrival on day 2, collect your hire car and head to Voigtland Guesthouse for 1 night with breakfast included — a peaceful welcome with sweeping savannah views and an extraordinary Giraffe High Tea, where long-necked visitors join you at the table.

Then head south on day 3 into the Kalahari for 2 nights at Bagatelle Game Ranch with breakfast included. Set among the region’s famous red dunes, this warm, owner-run lodge offers wide skies, desert stillness, and time to unwind by the pool (or watch wildlife gather at the waterhole!)

Day 4 is yours to spend at leisure. Optional activities include nature drives, heading out on a cheetah excursion, horse rides and guided bush walks.

a large bedroom with double bed overlooking open plan with small seating bench, white sheer curtains, large terrace overlooking the dry kalahari desert
Days 5 - 8 :

Desert vistas & coastal breezes

Drive southwest into the Namib Desert and arrive at Desert Homestead Lodge with breakfast included. Tucked between rugged mountain ranges, this is your base for the next 2 nights.

Day 6 is a full day at leisure. You could visit the iconic dunes of Sossusvlei — climb Dune 45 at sunrise, walk the white clay pan of Deadvlei with its 600-year-old trees, and explore the natural canyon at Sesriem. Evenings are peaceful, with star-filled skies and open desert views from your veranda.

On day 7 you will cross to the Atlantic Coast. The journey to Swakopmund passes Solitaire’s famous bakery, Kuiseb and Gaub Canyons, and the Tropic of Capricorn. Stay 2 nights with breakfast included just outside of town at Desert Breeze Lodge, with panoramic views over the dunes and Swakop River.

You’ll then have a full day to explore this coastal hub—go kayaking with seals, take a scenic flight over the Skeleton Coast, or join a desert tour to discover the tiny creatures hidden in the sand.

Days 9 - 14 :

Ancient valleys, Big Game & wilderness finale

From the Atlantic Coast, travel north to Damaraland’s wild, ragged landscapes, staying 2 nights at Huab Lodge with breakfast included. The lodge originally began as an idea to generate funds for Namibia’s desert-dwelling elephants, and is now a comfortable spot where you can sit and absorb the quiet.

On day 10, explore with expert guides on nature drives and walks, plus you can visit thermal springs.

Journey east to Etosha National Park on day 11, the heart of Namibia’s wildlife kingdom. Spend 1 night at Etosha Village relaxing and exploring private trails.

Day 12 brings a full day’s self-drive safari across the park’s famous salt pans, before you arrive to stay 1 night with breakfast included at Mushara Lodge on the park’s eastern edge, where lush gardens attract visiting wildlife.

Continue south on day 13 to Ondudu Safari Lodge in the Erongo Mountains for your final 2 nights with breakfast included. Nestled among granite hills, this lodge offers hiking trails and guided walks. Spend a day unwinding in peaceful wilderness surroundings before your return to Windhoek on day 15.
