Tour itinerary
Embark on an unforgettable journey flying from the UK to Windhoek - Start by exploring this vibrant city!
Fly overnight from the UK to Windhoek (via Johannesburg).
Upon arrival on day 2, you will collect your hire car and head to Olive Grove Guest House where you will have 1 night with breakfast included. This guesthouse is a calm and stylish base just above the city centre — ideal for easing into Namibia.
The next morning, you’ll begin your journey into the ancient Namib Desert, watching the landscapes shift from scrubland to vast, arid beauty. Your destination is Kulala Desert Lodge, nestled at the foot of the Sossusvlei dunes. Here, you’ll spend 2 nights in a thatched canvas bungalow with a private deck and breakfast included — and an optional sleep-out under the stars if you fancy!
You will have a full day at leisure on day 4. Guided hikes and drives can be arranged to uncover this seemingly barren yet rich wilderness.
From desert dunes to the Atlantic Coast
Begin early to catch sunrise over the Sossusvlei dunes — a highlight of any trip to Namibia. Climb Dune 45 or Big Daddy before heading to the salt pan of Deadvlei, where scorched ancient trees rise against white clay and red sand. Afterwards, you will continue west, perhaps pausing for lunch in Walvis Bay, before reaching the cool breeze and German colonial charm of Swakopmund. Here, you will spend 2 nights at The Strand Hotel with breakfast included. Set on a peninsula with superb sea views and direct access to the beach, spend the rest of the day relaxing.
Day 6 is yours to spend at leisure. Unwind at the hotel, or opt for one of the optional experiences, such as a scenic flight over the desert, or township tours that include tastings of traditional food and drink.
Into Damaraland’s wild beauty
Travel north along the Skeleton Coast, famous for it shipwrecks and seal colonies, before heading inland into the heart of Damaraland. Stark, rugged and vast, this landscape is home to Camp Kipwe, where your domed room is tucked among granite boulders. You will have 2 nights here with breakfast included – head to the hilltop bar for amazing views this evening.
Day 8 is yours to explore the area at leisure, whether by open vehicle in search of desert elephants or on a walk to learn about the local flora and geology. Visits to the UNESCO-listed rock engravings at Twyfelfontein and the natural Organ Pipes can also be arranged.
Epic wildlife in Etosha
Drive into Ongava Private Game Reserve today as you head to Ongava Lodge. Perched on a rocky outcrop, it offers panoramic views and the chance to track both white and black rhino with expert guides. You will stay here for 1 night with breakfast included.
On day 10 you will cross the reserve into eastern Etosha for 2 nights at Onguma – The Fort with breakfast included, which is a striking Moroccan-style retreat overlooking a private waterhole.
Have a day at leisure on day 11. With game drives, bush walks and a water-level photography hide, this is a wonderful place to be in order to watch Namibia’s wildlife.
Conservation and tracking at Okonjima’s Africat Foundation before flying home
Continue south to Okonjima Bush Camp, home of the renowned AfriCat Foundation. This is a family-run camp, and each chalet has large windows that offers unobstructed views of the savannah. You will stay here for 2 nights with breakfast included.
You will have a free day at leisure on day 13. This reserve plays a key role in research and rehabilitation of Namibia’s carnivores — including leopard, hyena, and cheetah. You can visit the Africat Centre, join tracking drives, or simply relax and watch wildlife from the comfort of the lodge.
After a final morning in Okonjima on day 14, you’ll drive back to Windhoek to return your hire car and check in for your overnight flight back to the UK.
