DETAILED ITINERARY

Day 1: UK to Ho Chi Minh City
Fly overnight from the UK to Ho Chi Minh City.

Day 2: Ho Chi Minh City
You will be met & transferred into Ho Chi Minh City where you will be staying for 2 nights at La Siesta Premium Saigon – this luxury retreat is located only a stones throw away the city’s iconic landmarks. Spend the afternoon relaxing or exploring, but save your energy for the evening when the city comes alive and you head out on an after dark private Vintage Vespa food tour of the city! Travelling like a local, you will join the plethora of mopeds whizzing around the city to enjoy all-you-can-eat food & free flow drinks at a mix of cafes, restaurants and live music venues. What a way to start your holiday – welcome to Vietnam!

Day 3: Ho Chi Minh City
Today we’ve included a private tour with one of our brilliant guides. Visit the War Remnants Museum & the former Presidential Palace. From there, you can stroll (your vehicle will be available at all times) to the major sights of colonial Ho Chi Minh City: the Old Saigon Post Office, Dong Khoi Street, Continental Hotel, Opera House and City Hall. The afternoon and evening is yours to enjoy at leisure.

Days 4 & 5: Mekong Delta
Today you will be collected and transferred to the Mekong Delta. Your journey into the Delta includes a ride on tri-motorcycle, a short cruise through the waterways, cycling in Phong Nam Village to meet locals and a 5-course lunch! For the next 2 nights, you will be staying at Mango Home Riverside, a peaceful riverside resort with relaxing charm, inviting swimming pool, and many activities on offer.

Day 6: Hoi An
Today you will be transferred back to the city for a short flight to Da Nang where you will be heading to the picturesque town of Hoi An. You will spend the next 4 nights at the stylish Maison Vy, a stunning little hotel which is owner run by Ms Vy – the owner of 2 amazing restaurants and cooking schools within Hoi An! Days 7, 8 & 9: Hoi An
You will have three days packed with culinary delights. You will join in with a cookery lesson where you will go to Vy’s market and be shown how to create truly authentic Hoi An delights. You will get the chance to head out on a private street food tasting tour with over 30 dishes for you to sample, and you will also have plenty of free time to explore the Ancient Town, countryside, and beaches of Hoi An.

Day 10: Hanoi
Today you will catch a flight from Da Nang to the capital, Hanoi, where you will stay for 2 nights at Aira Boutique Hotel. Situated just steps away from Hanoi’s Old Quarter, this elegant hotel is a serene retreat offering spacious and light rooms – head to the sky bar for 360 degree views of the city! This evening you will be introduced to a local family for a first-hand insight in to daily life in Hanoi all topped off with some fantastic hospitality and a variety of home-cooked, local specialities for you to enjoy.

Day 11: Hanoi
Today you will explore the key sights of Hanoi including the Temple of Literature, One Pillar Pagoda and the sixth century Tran Quoc Buddist Pagoda on a private guided tour. In the afternoon, a local food expert will guide you through the extensive food markets sampling as you wander. You may find the best banh xeo (crispy pancake) or bun cha (fresh rice noodles with grilled pork) in Vietnam.

Day 12: Ha Long Bay
Early morning you will be transferred to the port to board your Vietnamese Junk boat, Orchid Trendy, to stay for 1 night with all meals included. Featuring a blend of oriental and elegant design, Orchid Trendy promises to deliver the most memorable experience – make sure you sit out on the sun deck as you cruise along and take in the stunning views that surround you! You will cruise towards Trung Trang cave before heading to Tra Bau – a less populated area where you can enjoy a dip in the emerald water. What a way to see this beautifil 

Back on the boat you could join in with a cooking demonstration, or simply sit out on the deck (or your private balcony) to catch the sun setting behind the beautiful limestone formations. If one night isn’t enough in this stunning bay, then why not add another and continue exploring?

Day 13: Hanoi / UK
Enjoy sunrise with a spot of Tai Chi before breakfast over-looking the water as you cruise back towards the bay. You have time for some kayaking if you fancy, before you head back to Tuan Chau Marina. Back on land you will be taken back to the capital to enjoy the day at leisure, and to try and fit in as much Vietnamese food as possible before early evening falls, and you are transferred to Hanoi international for your overnight flight home.
