DETAILED ITINERARY

Day 1: UK to Hanoi
Fly overnight from the UK to Hanoi.

Day 2: Hanoi
On arrival you will be transferred to the Hanoi Tirant Hotel to spend 2 nights. Situated in the heart of Hanoi’s finest cultural landmark, the Old Quarter – the nest of all the historical legends and the well-reserved area, Tirant hotel is a perfect choice for all types of travellers. Welcome to Vietnam!

Settle in this afternoon, and in the evening, you will get to taste true Vietnamese cuisine on an authentic street food tour, ending with a live performance at the water puppet theatre, a unique northern Vietnamese art form.  

Day 3: Hanoi
A half day tour will take you around the city showing the ’36 streets’ known as the Old Quarter, walk through bustling markets, around the Hoan Kiem Lake, visit the Temple Of Literature, the One Pillar Pagoda, as well as the sixth century Tran Quoc Buddhist Pagoda. You will then have a free afternoon and evening to do with as you wish. If you would like us to organise a typically Vietnamese night out then contact us for more info.

Day 4: Halong Bay
This morning you will be taken to the port to board your Junkboat, the Bhaya Classic, for an overnight stay and cruise around the picturesque Halong Bay. Explore by kayak, enjoy sundowners on the deck and a freshly prepared meal before retiring to your cabin for the night.

Day 5: Hue
Enjoy breakfast on board as the sun rises before returning to dry land. You will then be transferred back to Hanoi for a short flight to Hue where you will spend 2 nights at the Pilgrimage Village Boutique Resort & Spa with its relaxed atmosphere and fantastic pool – the perfect spot for a relaxed afternoon!

Day 6: Hue
An exciting full day tour will allow you to fit in all that this amazing city can offer including the Imperial Citadel, Tinh Tam Lake, a boat trip down the famous Perfume River. You will walk and cruise around and taste the local cuisine of Hue along the way. Finishing off with a guided tour around the local markets, you have your evening free to relax as you wish.

Day 7: Hoi An
Taking a scenic drive south your next stop is Hoi An where you will be spending 3 nights at Maison Vy, a stunning little hotel owner run by Ms Vy herself. This place comes with some lovely little extras such as free high tea and herbal foot baths! In the evening, the real adventure begins with a Vintage Vespa street food tour taking you to all the local and best food hideouts finishing with a stunning desert.

Day 8 & 9: Hoi An
Two full days to enjoy this enchanting region of Vietnam. You will enjoy a half day join in cooking class where you will get a chance to learn how to make some of the popular food you have been sampling and the following day you will head to the ancient UNESCO My Son Temples, older than the infamous Angkor Wat. You will also have plenty of free time to explore, relax, eat or have your dream outfit made by the many skilled tailors in town.

Day 10 & 11: Mekong Delta
After a short flight from Da Nang airport to Ho Chi Minh City, you will be transferred down to the waterways of the Delta where you will be staying for 2 nights at The Island Lodge. From here you can indulge yourself in the life of the river, relax and watch the world go by, take a tour to a local coconut farm or cross the river to My Tho with a bicycle and explore rural Vietnam life at your own pace.

Day 12: Ho Chi Minh City
A quick transfer from the Mekong will take you back into the metropolis that is Ho Chi Minh City where you will be spending your last 2 nights at La Siesta Premium Saigon – this luxury retreat is located only a stones throw away the city’s iconic landmarks. This evening you will soak up the atmosphere with a street tour of the food markets and local music scene!

Day 13: Ho Chi Minh City
A full day of sightseeing awaits you for your final day with a chance to explore this bustling city’s many sights including Ben Thanh Market, Palaces, Pagodas, Opera House, City Hall and the old Saigon Post Office. Day 14: Ho Chi Minh to UK (via Bangkok)
You will have plenty of time to see all of the sights you want to see, do some last-minute shopping, visit the local market for one last time or just eat as much Vietnamese food as you possibly can. In the evening, we will take you to Ho Chi Minh International airport to fly overnight back to the UK.
