You might want to spend as much time at this stunning property as possible. However, if you decide to explore the surrounding area, there is plenty to do. Go whale watching in a seaplane or boat tour for a chance to spot these magnificent creatures, or for another wildlife experience you could go on a Madu River Safari to observe the lush mangrove forest and its wildlife. 

Participate in a traditional cooking experience so that you can recreate your favourite Sri Lankan dishes when you get home; you’ll even get to enjoy your creation afterwards (the house speciality is Malabar Prawn curry!) Get involved with the local community and join the local ladies as you paint some batik, and head out on a morning wildlife tour with a naturalist guide – this super easy walk will take you past locals ploughing the paddy fields and you’ll hopefully get to spot some beautiful birdlife along the way.
