Nosy Sakatia boasts unspoiled tropical flora and fauna. There are no roads, only footpaths and Sakatia Lodge, nestled in a paradise setting, next to the sacred forest on a beautiful beach, offers the perfect place to relax and enjoy island life. The Viera family will ensure you feel completely at home. Sakatia Lodge has 11 bungalows in total. Some are more basic and some more spacious than others. Ask us for more detail – call 01273 923100. They also have 3-bed villas perfect for small groups or families. Each African style en-suite bungalow is basic, clean with a fan, mosquito net and a private terrace. Fall asleep to the sound of the waves. Awaken to the sound of lemurs foraging in the trees.

The bar overlooking the sea is perfect to relax after a days activities. Sakatia Lodge offers breakfast, lunch and dinner with the menu changing daily. Edyth and her team do an incredible job of creating varied and delicious meals; lovingly prepared, beautifully presented and proffessionally served.

Sakatia island is fringed by pristine coral reefs. With an on-site dive centre, Sakatia Lodge offers the perfect opportunity to visit one of  the 20 nearby dive sites – whether you’re a beginner or an experienced diver, Jacques (Jose’s son) will ensure your dives are varied and well-planned. Diving (& snorkeling) can be spectacular here. There’s an abundance of marine life and amazing corals and Jacques has an incredible knack of finding the tiniest/fascinating creatures. If you’re lucky and the timing’s right, then there’s also the chance to spot whale sharks and dolphins.

But you don’t have to dive or snorkel. Sakatia is also the perfect place to relax and unplug from technology and other distractions. Watch the lemurs, listen to the birds, stroll on the beach, swim in the amazingly warm and clear water or just swing gently in a hammock. This ia a home away from home in an absolute paradise.
