DETAILED ITINERARY

Day 1: London to Lusaka
Fly overnight from the UK to Lusaka (via Nairobi).

Day 2: Lusaka to South Luangwa
On arrival you will be met and assisted onto your flight to Mfuwe, the gateway to the South Luangwa National Park. On arrival you will be met and transferred to one of our favourite camps in Zambia, Flatdogs Camp, to spend your first 3 nights on safari. Owner managed by Jess, the camp is very relaxing, the staff extremely friendly and it offers incredible game viewing in the central Mfuwe region of the park. Days 3 & 4: South Luangwa
Two full days of safari in the one of the best game viewing regions in Southern Africa. At Flatdogs the activities include game drives in open 4×4 vehicles, walking safaris and night drives. When back in camp you have a lovely swimming pool for cooling off, you can relax with a good book by the river and working closely with the local community you can arrange an informal visit to the local village. Want to know more about a day on safari? Day 5: South Luangwa
Moving to the remote northern section of the park today (game viewing en route) you will continue your safari with 2 nights at Tafika Camp, one of the finest safari camps in Africa. Owner run and home to John and Carol Coppinger, Tafika sits in one of the remotest regions of the park and offers the very best guiding and hospitality – we also love the option of John’s mountain bike safaris!

Day 6: South Luangwa
Full day of safari in leopard country with some of the best in the business. At Tafika you can head out on expertly guided game drives, night drives, walking safaris and even mountain bike safaris. Working closely with the local community you can also arrange a visit to the local village Mkasanga.

Day 7:  South Luangwa to Lake Malawi
Finishing off your 6 day safari with a final game drive and breakfast you will be transferred south to Mfuwe Airport to catch your light aircraft flight over the border to Lake Malawi. Touching down briefly in Lilongwe for immigration purposed you will continue to the Mozambican side of Lake Malawi to spend 6 nights at Nkwichi Lodge. A huge Sundowner favourite this incredibly remote lake retreat has stunning beaches, crystal clear water, beautiful rustic accommodation and the night cruises, romantic beach dinners and sleep out under the stars is not to be missed!

Days 8 to 12: Lake Malawi
Five full days to soak up this unique slice of African paradise! Day 13: Lake Malawi to London
This morning you will fly by light aircraft back to Lilongwe Airport to catch your International flight back to the UK (via Nairobi).

Day 14: London
Welcome Home Mr & Mrs…..(they won’t believe it until you show them the photos!)
