Fly from London to Lusaka on your African adventure of a lifetime
Fly overnight to Lusaka.
Upon arrival in to Lusaka on day 2 you’ll connect with your onwards flight to Mfuwe—gateway to South Luangwa National Park. You’ll then be met and transferred into the park for your first 2 nights at Mfuwe Lodge with breakfast included. Set around 2 lagoons and shaded by ebony trees, this unique lodge is famous for the wild elephants that wander right through reception to get to the courtyard where a mango tree drops ripe fruit (October, November, and December).
On day 3 you will enjoy expertly guided 4×4 safaris through the central Mfuwe region – home to big cats, elephant herds and excellent birdlife. Enjoy a sundowner in the bush before driving back to camp at night, keeping your eyes peeled for more wildlife on the way back.
Wild luxury on the Kapamba River
This morning you’ll drive south through the park, arriving at Kapamba Bush Camp where you will stay for 2 nights on a full-board basis. This is a secluded camp situated in a prime location on the Kapamba River, and each of the open-fronted chalets comes with uninterrupted views of the wilderness.
On day 5, you will head out for a full day of game viewing. This predator-rich area is superb for both game drives and walking safaris, with leopard, lion and wild dog sightings often a highlight. Enjoy a sundowner in the heart of the bush, before heading out on a night drive with a guide and a spotlight to spot some more animals.
Zambezi days & sundowner moments before heading home
After a final breakfast, fly south to the Lower Zambezi National Park where you’ll spend 4 nights at Kasaka River Lodge on a full-board basis. Tucked away in the Chiawa Conservancy, Kasaka is in a quiet location and provides guests with stunning views over the Zambezi River. “Stay 4 pay 3” Special.
You will now have 3 full days to enjoy the safari activities at the lodge. Head out on 4×4 drives in search of big cats, drift along on canoe safaris beside pods of hippos, and enjoy walking safaris to explore the area up-close. You could even try your hand at tiger fishing.
On day 10 you will have a final morning game drive and breakfast, before you then fly north by light aircraft to connect with your international flight back to the UK.
