Zambia & Mozambique Honeymoon

Fly overnight from the UK to Livingstone (via Johannesburg).

Upon arrival on day 2, you’ll be met and transferred upriver to the beautiful Chundukwa River Lodge where you will stay for 3 nights on a full-board basis. With its thatched, stilted chalets overlooking the Zambezi and friendly, hands-on hosts, this is the perfect introduction to Zambia.

Days 3 and 4 are yours at leisure. Your time at Chundukwa includes a classic Zambezi sunrise or sunset cruise and a full day at Victoria Falls. You could add in some mountain biking if you wish, or have your first wildlife experience by heading out on a walking tour. To see what life is like in the local community, visit the local school in Nakawa, or simply relax by the pool and soak up the views of your surroundings.

After a final morning by the river, you’ll fly east along the Zambezi to reach Amanzi Camp, tucked away in a peaceful corner of the Lower Zambezi National Park. This intimate camp has only four luxury tents, each with river views and plenty of space to relax between game drives and boat safaris. You will stay here for 3 nights on a full-board basis, and your  stay includes a “Stay 3, Pay 2” special offer.

With two full days in one of Africa’s most scenic and rewarding parks, you’ll have the chance to try a variety of activities, from game drives to river cruises, walking safaris to fishing trips. The landscape here is spectacular, framed by the Zambezi River and the escarpment beyond. The wildlife viewing (especially for elephants and predators) is superb.

Leaving the bush behind, you’ll fly to Lusaka and connect via Johannesburg to the coast of Mozambique. A short drive brings you to the beach town of Tofo and the delightful Baia Sonambula. With a laid-back vibe, and stunning sea views, this is the barefoot beach escape you’ve been dreaming of. Your honeymoon will end with 6 nights here and breakfast included.

You’ll have five full days here to relax, swim, and explore. This stretch of coastline is excellent for its marine life, with diving and snorkelling trips offering close encounters with manta rays, reef sharks, and—during the right season—humpback whales and whale sharks. Or simply unwind on the deck, take long walks along the beach, and toast your final African sunset with a local cocktail in hand.

On day 15, you’ll fly back to Johannesburg to connect with your overnight flight home to the UK.
