Depart to Vientiane and unwind at a charming hotel
Fly overnight from the UK to Laos’s relaxed capital.
Upon arrival on day 2, you will be met and transferred to spend 2 nights at Lao Poet Hotel with breakfast included. Lao Poet Hotel is a chic, Indochine-inspired boutique stay in central Vientiane, with colourful vintage design and a rooftop pool overlooking the city.
On day 3, you will take a guided half-day city tour to Wat Sisaket, Wat Phra Kaew and the Patuxay Monument. Make sure you head to the top to enjoy the sweeping views! This evening you will head out to Ban Anou night market to sample some local street food, before enjoying a sundowner along the Mekong.

Scenic journey to Vang Vieng and settle into luxury
Enjoy a leisurely morning before you are met and transferred by road about 1½ hours north to Riverside Boutique Resort for 3 nights with breakfast included. This award winning, luxury hotel, is full of charm and its beautiful design blends local traditions with French colonial architecture.
On day 5 you will discover limestone karst scenery on a guided tour through rice paddies to Tham Pou Kham cave and cruise the Nam Song River by longtail boat.
Enjoy a full free day on day 6. You could hike to Nam Xay Viewpoint, swim in the blue lagoon, or browse the lively market for souvenirs.
Scenic transfer to Luang Prabang, a UNESCO gem
This morning you will be transferred approx. 10 minutes to the train station, where you will board a train to Luang Prabang. On arrival, you will be met and transferred approx. 30 minutes to spend 3 nights with breakfast included at Maison Dalabua, surrounded by serene lily ponds.
On day 8 you will be met for a cycle tour of Luang Prabang! Head along quiet backstreets to the Royal Palace and explore the different temples of the town, before heading back to the hotel to relax in the afternoon.
A trip to the Kuang Si Waterfalls is in store on day 9. The stunning falls are a series of cascading turquoise pools, and a highlight of any Laos trip. Enjoy swimming, hiking, and even visiting the Asiatic Black Bear sanctuary.
Fly to Champasak and relax at La Folie Lodge
This morning you will be collected and transferred approximately 15 minutes to the airport for your short domestic flight to Pakse. On arrival, you will be transferred by road and boat to the charming La Folie Lodge on the Mekong for 3 nights with breakfast included. Relax on your private terrace this evening which boasts panoramic views of the Mekong River and the mountains of Champasak.
You will now have 2 full days to explore the 4,000 Islands by kayak or bike, visit the Bolaven Plateau’s waterfalls, or simply sunbathe on the river’s sandy beach.
On day 13, you will be transferred back to Pakse where you will proceed to check in for your flights home.
