DETAILED ITINERARY

Day 1: UK to Heredia  
Fly from the UK to San Jose.
On arrival into San Jose you’ll be privately transferred to Finca Rosa Blanca to spend 2 nights on this beautiful coffee farm. This stunning characterful estate is also one of the National Geographic Unique lodges and is located just outside of San Jose, offering scenic views of the city in the distance with mountain ranges, cloud forest and coffee plantations all around. Day 2: Heredia
Enjoy a complimentary guided coffee tour this morning on this vast organic coffee plantation. Learn all about the growing, harvesting and processing of this award-winning coffee and learn how the Ticos make their cuppa. Enjoy the rest of your day at leisure. You can enjoy the hillside infinity pool and relax, book a couple’s spa treatment or add in another tour. Day 3: Heredia to Turrialba
This morning you’ll be collected for your shared transfer to Pacuare Lodge in Turrialba where you will be staying for 2 nights. Getting here is part of the whole experience at this chic eco lodge as you arrive by rafting down the Pacuare river, one of the most beautiful rivers in the world! Excellent service, fine dining and a beautiful setting in the midst of a tropical rainforest make this a gem that no one wants to leave! Day 4: Pacuare Lodge
During your stay you have the choice of two activities per day – including a canopy adventure, sunrise bird watching tour, ancient trail, hidden waterfall hike and much more. Day 5: Turrialba to Arenal
This morning you’ll be privately transferred to Arenal Volcano area where you’ll spend 3 nights at the stylish Arenal Nayara Resort and Spa on the flanks of the mighty Arenal Volcano. Day 6: Arenal 
Enjoy a leisurely morning. Hike around the volcano along the many signed paths where you can see plenty of wildlife that this area is famous for including sloths, hummingbirds, monkeys and more. Bring your binoculars! Or you could go ziplining – fly like superman over river valleys with the view of the towering Arenal Volcano before you. Day 7: Arenal
Full day at leisure. Enjoy this area at your own pace and relax. Arrange another hike or perhaps a couple’s massage at Nayara’s award winning spa. You can also venture with a local guide around the hotel’s private sloth sanctuary and learn all about these mammals. Finish your day with some delicious food and the views of the Arenal volcano at dusk.

Day 8: Arenal to Nicoya Peninsula
This morning you’ll be collected for your private transfer and a short flight to Santa Teresa, Nicoya Peninsula where you will spend 4 nights at Latitude 10. Day 12: Nicoya to San Jose
Following a final breakfast in the fort you will be transferred back to Tambor airstrip for your short flight back to San Jose where you will spend your last night in style at Grano de Oro. Day 13: Manuel Antonio to the UK
Following a final breakfast, you will be transferred back to San Jose where you will check in for your flight back to the UK
