Rooms
The 11 canvas tents at Kandili blend traditional safari style with modern comfort. Each has a private veranda with sweeping views of the Mara plains, a king-size or twin beds, and an en-suite bathroom with flush toilet and hot shower. Superior tents offer extra space, and a dedicated family unit is perfect for those travelling with children. The two suites include a private fire pit and a lounge with library – ideal for longer stays or romantic escapes.
Food
Meals are a highlight here – fresh, generous and often served alfresco in the bush. Breakfast might be served on the plains after a morning game drive, while lunch is enjoyed under the shade of acacia trees. Dinners are shared around the fire or beneath the stars, with hearty African and international dishes on offer. Special dietary needs are easily catered for, and the friendly team makes dining feel both informal and special.
Activities
Twice-daily game drives explore both the private conservancy and the Masai Mara Reserve. Wildlife is abundant year-round, and you’ll often have sightings all to yourself thanks to the low vehicle numbers. Bush walks in teh conservancy offer a slower-paced insight into the ecosystem, and you can also visit local Maasai villages or enjoy a sundowner with panoramic views. The camp can also arrange full-day drives into the Mara with picnic lunches.
