A warm welcome from the team there. Loved learning about the conservation work too. Verney’s Camp was just incredible. What an experience living right next to a busy watering hole. Our guide Themba was just fantastic! And then ending up in a treehouse overlooking the Zambezi awash with crocs and hippos was a memorable end to a magical trip.

Days 1 & 2 :

Overnight to South Africa to start your unforgettable African adventure

Fly overnight from the UK to Johannesburg.

Upon arrival on day 2, you will be met and transferred to spend 1 night with breakfast included at the African Rock Hotel, a peaceful retreat in a leafy suburb just 15 minutes from the airport. With eclectic furniture handcrafted by the owner and a lush garden-fringed pool, it’s the perfect place to decompress after your journey.

Days 3 - 5:

Gorge Views and Falls Adventures

This morning you will be taken back to Johannesburg Airport to catch a flight to Victoria Falls. On arrival, you will be met and transferred to spend 3 nights on a full-board basis at Gorges Lodge. Perched dramatically above the Batoka Gorge, each chalet offers uninterrupted views across the Zambezi, and of the river rushing below.

Days 4 & 5 will be full of the guided activities available — think river cruises, local village visits, gorge walks, and a guided tour of the Falls themselves. For the adrenaline seekers, go zip-lining, take a helicopter ride, or even head out on a canoe safari!

Days 6 - 10:

Elephant Express to the Wilderness before returning home

Hop aboard the iconic Elephant Express safari train this morning—a slow and scenic rail journey through Hwange’s southern wilderness. On arrival you’ll head to Bomani Tented Lodge. Nestled on the edge of the Ngamo Plains, this lodge combines creature comforts with luxury, and you will end your holiday here with 4 nights on a full-board basis.

This region is famed for its elephant herds, lion prides, and wide-open savannah. Spend the next 3 days on expertly guided 4×4 game drives and walking safaris, tracking big cats, wild dogs and more.

On day 10 you will be transferred to Victoria Falls airport where you will check in for your flight back to the UK.
