DETAILED ITINERARY

Day 1: London to Antananarivo
Fly this morning from the UK to Antananarivo (via Paris). On arrival into the Madagascar capital this evening you will be met and transferred to Relais des Plateaux to spend 1 night, a very comfortable small hotel and one of the most convenient for the airport.

Day 2: Antananarivo to Amber Mountain National Park
Returning early to the airport this morning you will fly to Diego Suarez in the very north of Madagascar to continue your wildlife adventure. On arrival you will be met and transferred to Joffre Ville, the gateway to Amber Mountain National Park, to spend 2 nights at the Litchi Tree, a 6 room owner run guesthouse offering lovely accommodation, hospitality and food. Day 3: Amber Mountain National Park
Full day with your local specialist guide to explore Amber Mountain National Park. A beautiful region of primary rainforest this area is excellent for hiking with lots of waterfalls to discover and although it doesn’t offer the varied lemur sightings like the eastern rainforests it does still offer 7 different species plus 60 different reptile species including the leaf-tailed gecko and the tiny Brookesia chameleon. Day 4: Amber Mountain National Park to Ankarana Reserve
Today you will drive south to the eastern side of Ankarana Reserve where you will enjoy a guided hike, searching the dry forests and vast tsingy formations for crowned lemurs, Sanford’s brown lemur and northern sportive lemurs.

You will then continue to the western side of the park to spend 2 nights at Iharana Bush Camp, a beautiful rustic eco lodge with funky traditional cottages and an amazing location overlooking a lake and huge tsingy mastiff – a great spot for a “Sundowner Moment”!

Day 5: Ankarana Reserve
Full day to enjoy the beautiful surroundings of Iharana. Activities at the lodge include incredible hikes through the tsingy of Ankarana, guided bikes tours through the villages, village walks and boat excursions on the lake which are perfect at sunset.

Day 6: Ankarana Reserve to Nosy Be
After a final morning hike through the tsingy you will get on the road, heading south to the port of Ankify where your boat will be waiting to transfer you across to the Nosy Be Archipelago, heading to the main island of Nosy Be where you will spend 3 nights at Heure Bleue.

With a beautiful location overlooking the famous Madirokely Beach, the Heure Bleue is a small eco beach retreat, perfect for those that want relax but also soak up a bit of local Malagasy beach life.

Days 7 & 8: Nosy Be
Two full days to enjoy the island of Nosy Be. We can arrange lots of activities in the area including horse-riding, quad biking, hiking, fishing, snorkelling, scuba diving, island hopping tours and if you need another lemur fix then excursions to the primary forest Reserve de Lokobe. Day 9: Nosy Be to Baobab Beach
This morning you will head down to the beach to pick up your boat transfer across to Baobab Beach on a remote stretch of the mainland where you will end your honeymoon with 4 nights relaxing at the Eden Lodge.

Days 10 to 12: Baobab Beach
Three full days to enjoy Baobab Beach with lots of water-sports on offer, some great hiking, island hopping excursions and the village walk is not be missed. As sunset approaches make sure you are back at the lodge and you may catch the sportive lemurs jumping through the baobab trees around the lodge.

Day 13: Baobab Beach to the UK
Today you will transfer back to Nosy Be, heading to the airport for your flight back to the Antananarivo. On arrival a day room at Bois Vert will be available (if required) before you will connect with your International flight back to the UK (via Paris).
