DETAILED ITINERARY

Day 1: London to Kilimanjaro
Fly overnight from the UK to Kilimanjaro (via Nairobi).

Day 2: Kilimanjaro to Ngorongoro Crater
On arrival you will be met by your driver/guide and private 4×4 vehicle and you will head straight to Lake Manyara National Park to enjoy a game drive in search of those tree climbing lions. This beautiful park boasts a huge amount of wildlife and is also a key area for elephants, giraffes, buffalo and of course flocks of flamingos in season.

You will then climb the rift valley escarpment heading to the rim of the mighty Ngorongoro Crater where you will spend 2 nights at Ang’ata Ngorongoro Camp, a beautiful 8 tent camp in an Acacia forest and one of the few privileged camps in this prime safari location.

Day 3: Ngorongoro Crater
An early start this morning as you drive down into the Ngorongoro Crater for a day of exciting Big 5 game viewing with a picnic lunch – staying on the rim of the crater will ensure you are one of the first onto the crater floor!

This incredible sunken caldera is one of the most breath-taking safari locations on the planet and resident to a huge concentration of wildlife which includes black rhino and large lion prides. After an incredible day you will return to camp for a well-earned Sundowner.

Day 4: Ngorongoro to Serengeti National Park
Another day of jaw dropping scenery and wildlife as you head down onto the plains of the Serengeti National Park to continue your safari with 3 nights at Bologonya Under Canvas, an authentic tented camp in the north of the park with 10 spacious tents and excellent game viewing during prime migration time!

Day 5 & 6: Serengeti National Park
Two full days of game viewing in the Serengeti National Park with your guide and private 4×4 vehicle. One of the most incredible game viewing regions in Africa the Serengeti National Park has a huge concentration of resident wildlife and enormous herds of wildebeest and zebra pass through the park on the annual migration – a predators paradise!

Day 7: Serengeti National Park to Mafia Island
Following a last morning game drive and breakfast in the bush you will fly across the county by light aircraft to Mafia Island, an undiscovered gem south of Zanzibar which is surrounded by reefs teeming with marine life.

On arrival you will be transferred to the west coast to spend your last 6 nights at Butiama Beach, a chilled owner run beach lodge offering relaxation, lots of great activities and some of the best whale shark diving in the Indian Ocean.

Days 8 to 12: Mafia Island
Five full days to relax and enjoy. The friendly owner, Maura, is on hand to help arrange a variety of activities that include kayaking, snorkeling, fishing, dhow cruises in the archipelago, village excursions, landrover island tours and fantastic scuba diving.

We also strongly recommend arranging a private beach picnic to one of the secluded beaches!

Day 13: Mafia to London
After a final morning swim in the ocean you will transfer back to Mafia Airport for your light aircraft flight back to Dar es Salaam. On arrival you will connect with your International flight to the UK.

Day 14: Home
