Rooms
Each of the 14 villas is a standalone retreat with panoramic views and elegant privacy. Built using a mix of polished concrete, local timber, antique elements and Moorish design flourishes, the villas feel grounded and luxurious. Full-height glass doors open onto private terraces and plunge pools, while interiors feature arched doorways, tiled floors, ceiling fans, soft linen and freestanding bathtubs. Some villas have rooftop terraces or large outdoor daybeds, ideal for sunset drinks or midday siestas. Every villa includes air conditioning, filtered water, and a personal sense of space.
Food
Meals are served at Hill House, a breezy, open-plan restaurant and bar perched at the highest point on the property. Breakfasts are light and fresh—think tropical fruits, smoothies, hoppers, and good coffee. Lunch and dinner lean on Sri Lankan staples elevated with Mediterranean nuance: curries with seasonal veg, grilled seafood, fresh herbs, and hand-rolled flatbreads. There’s a small but thoughtful wine list, and most produce is sourced locally. Guests are encouraged to dine when and where they like—on their villa deck, at a shared table, or privately on the roof terrace.
Activities
Mornings can start with yoga or meditation on the shaded platform nestled in the trees. The saltwater infinity pool offers panoramic views and quiet corners for reading or floating. Guests can borrow bikes to explore rural lanes around Weligama, or walk forest trails that loop through the grounds. The on-site spa offers Ayurvedic and deep-tissue treatments with locally sourced oils. Staff can organise surf lessons or tuk-tuk rides to Weligama Bay and Galle Fort. But many guests end up staying by their plunge pool with the jungle soundtrack proving hard to beat.
