Kruger Safari & Beach Honeymoon

Fly overnight from the UK to Johannesburg.

Upon arrival on day 2 you’ll connect with a short flight to KMIA Kruger. When you land, you’ll be met and transferred privately into the southern Sabi Sands where you will stay for 3 nights on a full-board basis at Notten’s Bush Camp, a romantic, candlelit retreat where wildlife often wanders past your suite.

Over the next 2 days, head out on morning and afternoon game drives in search of the Big 5 — lion, leopard, elephant, buffalo and rhino – and take part in a guided bush walk to get closer to nature. Between game drives, take a dip in the pool, enjoy a couple’s massage in the spa, or simply soak in the sounds of the bush with a glass of wine in hand.

After a final game drive and breakfast this morning, you’ll be collected for a private 5-hour road transfer across the border into Mozambique. You will then be taken to spend 1 night with breakfast included in Maputo at Southern Sun Maputo, a sea-facing hotel with old-world charm and a great location for a sunset stroll along the promenade.

On day 6 you can head out in the morning to explore Maputo’s markets, architecture and cafés before you are met and transferred to the marina. You will then take a 1-hour boat transfer to the remote Machangulo Peninsula where you will head to Machangulo Beach Lodge, your romantic base for the next 7 nights on a half-board basis. Nestled between lush dunes and the turquoise Indian Ocean, this is the perfect place to end your honeymoon at.

Spend six full days relaxing on one of Mozambique’s most secluded stretches of coastline. The lodge sits at the meeting point of beach, forest and estuary, offering barefoot luxury and total peace. Go snorkelling among coral reefs, kayak through mangroves, spot dolphins on a boat trip, or cross to Inhaca Island for a guided walk and picnic lunch. Prefer to do nothing at all? Claim a hammock and let the day drift past.

After a final morning on the beach, you’ll be transferred on day 13 by boat and car to Maputo Airport for your short flight to Johannesburg where you will then connect with your flight to the UK.
