Fly overnight to India’s capital.

On arrival on day 2, you will be met and transferred to The Maidens Hotel for 2 nights with breakfast included. This grand colonial property in North Delhi offers a sense of calm away from the bustle of the city, and a real sense of heritage. Unwind this evening with a drink at the Cavalry Bar.

The next day, explore the city with a private guide. Explore the vast Jama Masjid, enjoy rickshaw rides in Old Delhi, and marvel at the boulevards and monuments of New Delhi.

Today you will be taken to the airport to board your flight to Varanasi. On arrival, you will be transferred for an incredible 15 minute boat ride along the Holy River. After your journey along the river, you will arrive at Suryauday Haveli, your riverside home for 2 nights where breakfast is included. Originally built by Nepal’s royal family, this intimate property sits directly on the Ganges ghats. In the evening, watch the glowing ‘aarati’ ceremony by the banks of the Ganges.

Rise early on day 5 for a peaceful boat ride at dawn, then explore the winding alleys and shrines of the old town with your expert guide. You’ll be fully immersed into India’s spiritual heart!

Fly to Khajuraho this morning and when you arrive, you will be collected to explore its stunning temple complex with a local expert—famous for its elaborate carvings and bold artistry. Then, you will be driven into the countryside and head to Sarai at Toria, your peaceful base for 3 nights on a full-board basis. This riverside eco-lodge is run by naturalist hosts Raghu and Joanna, with a focus on nature, sustainability and superb home cooking.

You will then have two full days to enjoy Sarai at Toria. Take birding walks, float down the Ken River at sunrise, or explore the ruined hilltop fort of Ajaygarh.
