"For me, nothing compares to those first moments in a new place, fresh off the plane. From wandering lantern-lit streets in Hoi An to watching the sun set on Boracay, that experience often stays with me most."

Our trip with Sundowner Holidays was unforgettable! We explored the rice terraces in Banaue, cruised the rivers of Palawan, and enjoyed island hopping around El Nido. The hotels were comfortable, the guides knowledgeable, and every connection was seamless. Highly recommended!

Laura and Mark Stevens, Philippines

We had an amazing family adventure in the Philippines! Bohol’s Chocolate Hills and tarsier sanctuaries were incredible, and we loved snorkelling and diving in Cebu. The excursions were well planned, the guides friendly, and the hotels perfect for relaxing after busy days.

Rachel and Tom Davis, Philippines

Sundowner Holidays made our Philippines trip effortless and fun! We island-hopped around Coron, kayaked through lagoons, and soaked up the sun on Siargao’s beaches. The accommodations were excellent, the guides attentive, and every day was full of memorable experiences. We can't wait to book our next holiday.

Weather in the Philippines

The Philippines has a tropical climate with two main seasons: the wet (rainy) season and the dry season. With over 7,000 islands, the country offers diverse experiences, from pristine beaches and world-class diving to lush rice terraces and vibrant cities. Whether you’re island-hopping in Palawan, surfing in Siargao, or exploring the historic streets of Manila, understanding the weather will help you plan the perfect trip.

The Wet Season (June–November):

The wet season brings warm temperatures (24–32°C / 75–90°F) and frequent rain, especially from July to October. Typhoons can occur during this period, particularly in the northern and eastern regions, which may impact travel plans. However, this season also offers fewer tourists, lush green landscapes, and dramatic waterfalls at their fullest. If you don’t mind occasional rain showers, destinations like Cebu and Bohol remain great options.

The Dry Season (December–May):

The dry season is the best time to visit the Philippines, with little rain and temperatures ranging from 25–35°C (77–95°F). The cooler months (December–February) are perfect for outdoor adventures, while March to May brings hotter temperatures, ideal for beach holidays in Boracay, Palawan, and Siargao. This is also the peak travel period, especially around Christmas, New Year, and Holy Week, so booking accommodations in advance is recommended.
